Javad Boroumand leads the solutions architecture and engineering for the education market within the Cisco Public Sector organization which includes application of Cisco technologies to the new and emerging market needs and engaging in collaborative and strategic initiatives and pilot programs with leading customers.
During his 14 years at Cisco Javad also directed the worldwide university research grant programs enabling innovations through academic technology transfer into Cisco product development as well as the Research and Education (R&E) Networks program.
Prior to Cisco Javad served at different leadership capacities in the field of advanced network technologies at the National Science Foundation, University of Southern California, NASA and Bell Communications Research. He holds MS and BS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and the University of Maryland at College Park.
